Berlin, April 20th, 2023 – The expansion course of Primestar Group with a stronger focus on digitalisation and technology as well as on new target groups goes hand in hand with an expansion of the management team. As the new Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director of Primestar Hospitality, Hotel und Operator GmbH, Ronald Nilsson will be responsible for all commercial matters of the group. In addition, he will be responsible for the marketing and positioning of the franchise hotels and the new own brands June Six, June Stay and WorX. During his extensive career, Nilsson has been responsible for setting up various hospitality organisations, with a particular focus on transformation and realignment of commercial strategies, most recently as Managing Director of the IFA/Lopesan Group in Germany & Austria. Ronald Nilsson is looking forward to the new challenge: „I am convinced that the Primestar Group is excellently positioned for the future and that I can actively support the growth course we have embarked upon.“
Dieter Esslinger has been heading the operational areas of the group as Chief Operating Officer as well as Managing Director of Primestar Hospitality, Hotel und Operator GmbH since autumn 2022. Esslinger relies on more than 15 years of experience in the branded hotel industry in Germany and Austria. He has been working for the Primestar Group since 2017 and has successfully supported the expansion in the franchise sector in recent years.
Oliver Kupka has taken over the Primestar Group as CEO as well as Managing Partner of Primestar Holding last year and realised a considerable growth with his team since then. With two defined projects in Vienna and additional locations in Hanover and Lake Garda, the portfolio is being consistently expanded in line with the corporate strategy. „I am very much looking forward to working with Dieter and Ronald. Besides the idividual expertise, the chemistry just feels right in our management team.
